Sarp Yachts, known for their innovative designs, has once again pushed the boundaries of yacht design with the XSR 155. The key element of this design is the extensive use of glass integrated with the superstructure, giving the yacht an architectural touch. This design strategy not only provides an aesthetically pleasing exterior but also allows for maximum lightness and visibility from the inside out.
The XSR 155 is not just about style and luxury; it's also about sustainability. The yacht is built with parallel hybrid propulsion systems, an alternative to fossil fuels that reduces noise, vibrations, and emissions. This feature allows clients to enjoy slow cruises using electric propulsion with nearly zero cost and offers a low maintenance period with silent operation without exhaust gas.
Aside from its green technology, the XSR 155 also offers spacious exteriors with loose furniture, providing owners with the freedom and flexibility to customize their space. The yacht is designed to bring its occupants closer to the sea, creating a feeling of oneness with nature without compromising style and luxury.
The XSR 155 is a product of a collaborative effort between Sarp Yachts Shipyard, Red Yacht Design for the exterior, and Van Oossanen as the naval architect. The yacht is set to be delivered in 2021 in Turkey. The team faced challenges in integrating the architectural glass without losing the exterior styling proportions and in implementing the hybrid propulsion systems. However, their expertise and commitment to innovation allowed them to overcome these hurdles.
For its innovative design and commitment to green technology, the XSR 155 was awarded Platinum in A' Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that contribute to societal wellbeing.
